How We Meet Government Guidance

We follow the Department for Education’s statutory guidance on keeping uniform costs reasonable:

  • Limit branded items: Only blazer and tie require a logo; other items can be bought from any retailer.
  • Affordable alternatives: We allow iron-on logos for flexibility.
  • Second-hand options: Arrangements are in place for parents to access pre-loved uniform.
  • No unnecessary extras: Coats, bags, and shoes do not need to be branded.
  • Consistency: Same uniform for all year groups; no special requirements for clubs or activities.
  • Consultation: Parents and pupils are consulted before any major changes.
  • Equality and Inclusion:
    • No gender-specific lists—children can choose what they feel comfortable wearing.
    • Religious garments and reasonable adaptations for sensory or physical needs are allowed.
